I just want to start this off by saying thank you to Rick Nielsen, Anne Boccignone and all of the dedicated staff who made this such an incredible experience!  Rick Nielsen is one of the most charming men that I have ever met in the music business...his sense of humor, talent, sense of community and his HOARDING skills made this exhibit worth checking out MULTIPLE times!!!  There is no way you can see it all with one trip...Rick Nielsen is definitely the heart and soul of Cheap Trick and I doubt that he has thrown anything relating to the band away...he even had a display of fan mail from all over the world including arts and crafts gifts handmade by his fans!  He's a family man, a pillar of the community in Rockford and a very real all around nice guy...even though his grandchildren refer to him as GRUMPY!  I HIGHLY recommend checking out the exhibit for yourself...it is a gem!  While I was there I also placed my vote for the induction of Cheap Trick into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame, but I doubt they could even come close to honoring the band and all their achievements the way that the Burpee Museum has!

Please enjoy the pictures, they are only a miniscule part of the entire show, but do yourself the favor of seeing it in person...you won't regret it!!!  Take it from a ROCK CHICK who knows....THIS IS ROCK AND ROLL at it's best! Lisa Miller
