Old Oak vs. New Oak: A Comparison
I know I've been back for almost as long as I was gone, but it's worth noting that many things changed during my absence.
The Old Oak would stay out at bars until after midnight, then stay up watching movies until around... uh... 4:20. Dude.
The New Oak is in bed before 11 because he has this job, plus another job, plus school.
The Old Oak guzzled down many bottles of watery, mass-produced suds.
The New Oak prefers to savor a nice microbrewed pint of stout, porter, or ale.
The Old Oak listened to psychedelic music and went hiking.
The New Oak listens to death metal and hits the gym and the bike trail. (The Old Oak weighed considerably more than the New Oak.)
The Old Oak was known to chase beautiful, funny, intelligent, somewhat dangerous women.
The New Oak caught the most beautiful, funny, intelligent, dangerous one of all and married her.
The Old Oak liked Zeppelin and Floyd and AC/DC and was honored to be a part of Madison's #1 rock station.
The New Oak, at least in that respect, is exactly the same.
