Police in Dayton, Ohio arrested a 25-year-old-woman after they spotted her allegedly shooting up heroin while driving her car with her knees.

Elsner Abby

Abby Elsner was pulled over while driving through town when an officer pulled alongside her and looked over to see the suspect steering the car with her knees and sticking herself with a needle.

"I observed she was holding her right forearm in plain view where there was a hypodermic syringe needle sticking out of her arm,' he said. 'With her left hand, she was manipulating the needle into her forearm."

When Elsner saw the officer, she immediately pulled the needle out of her arm and tossed it towards her passenger, Shawn Abby. After pulling over the vehicle, the officer witnessed Elsner trying to hide the needle in her waistband, but then surrendered it to the officer when spotted.

Upon arresting the two women, the officer noticed two 'lear gel caps 'containing a grayish white substance' that he believed to be heroin.

Both women have a history of drug arrests.
